04 Jun Pineapple Obsession
It’s harvest season at the HQ! We’re lovestruck on all things pineapple and we’d love to share with you just how far our fruity favorite has come.
It started with one piece – first sightings of our original pineapple piece was featured in our Manila FAME showcase a little over a year ago. The Piña hand-carved wood was a fresh take on fine craftsmanship and anyone who saw this chic and quirky little piece instantly grew fond of it! Fondness grew into fascination…and this newfound love sparked a curiosity to play with a juicy palette of colors and prints.
We absolutely enjoy whipping up new looks for things we’ve come to love. With a brand new look, pineapple pieces made of T’nalak have now been thrown into the mix. T’nalak is a distinct weaving technique by the T’boli, an ethnic tribe of the South Cotabato province. The weaves are made of abaca fibers joined together with miniscule knots and dyed with striking profundity, creating unique patterns and depicting art from visions seen in the weaver’s dreams. These unique patterns are then passed on from generation to generation.
A true testament to the brand’s affinity to the handmade and all things special, the Piña in all its forms and unique detailing has made this little wonder into a crowd favorite and a true ARANAZ classic.
Much to our excitement, our sought after pineapples are now ripe for picking! We’ve extended our online access exclusively for purchases from our international clientele at shop.aranaz.ph while stocks for our Philippine-based customers are available in stores at Power Plant Mall and Greenbelt 5.
